It's so obvious, what they're doing.
Glad you're doing better!
Unsolicited writing advice, no. 6230:
Writing is freedom. You are free to write whatever you like, in whatever way you like. You're free to take advice, or not. You're free to describe the real world, or to build it differently. Your successes, your mistakes, your decisions belong to you. Own them.

My friend Anna went through breast cancer around the same time I did, and but now it has metastasised and she has stage 4 in her bones and lungs. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you can't help with a donation, please consider sharing.

Happy Birthday! ππππ
The problem with the whole 'post a woman author you've read 5 books by' is how many women don't get a second book, let alone five.
Anyway, carry on.
Love it. Looks like fun too! π
A fake Bayeux tapestry depicting you and me (stuck) in the middle with clowns to the left and jokers to the right.

If anyone does this to me, I will haunt them into their next twenty lives. Hope you're listening @cruisergb.bsky.social π
Open Office or Libre Office (I prefer the interface of Open Office but both are about the same in functionality). And Thunderbird is good as an Outlook substitute as long as you have an existing email address.
Donβt forget the Never Too Late Award from the Bridport Prize which recognises entries from writers over 60 across all categories of prizes.

The em-dash isn't what gives it away that he used AI to write it; it's the fact that he used words he doesn't have in his vocabulary. His ramblings might not usually make sense but they always sound like him (childish and petulant). This doesn't.
Lovely. I can imagine what you're getting out of it. I remember seeing Sam Vimes evolve over the years (and Granny W and Death in their books). I reread my favourite (Monstrous Regiment) about once a year but I really need to go back and close read for learning purposes (and fun) like that. π
Congratulations, Ida! I still have the silver dragon I bought from you a few years ago and whenever I wear it people comment on how lovely and unusual it is.
That's brilliant! Fingers crossed for you on the full, and hope you feel better soon. π
Sounds lovely! Which Pratchett?
I'm on the couch with my feet up, reading a book on Yorkshire folklore while my black cat, Freddie, roams the hallway calling out to his fluffy grey brother (from another mother) Terry to come play with him. I had to make my own breakfast, though. π
A book on the top of a dresser. Keshed, by Stu Hennigan
Today's book mail (this time with the actual picture - what was I even doing?). Keshed, by @stuhennigan.bsky.social. Looking forward to reading!

Congrats! π
A black background has red text on it indicating there are two days until Writing the Occult: Love & Death. It's accompanied by an illustration of an hourglass with a skull in the top half.
Which reminds me...
We'll meet at the cemetery (aka on Zoom) THIS SATURDAY!
Tix still available, and they cover access to the live event as well as recordings of everything you might've missed to, y'know, go on that hot date or something: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/writing-th...
I saw someone call him Hillbilly Vanilli and that's who he is now. I don't make the rules.
I really enjoy this artist's work. Yes, he's my bonus son. No, I'm not biased. Well maybe a little bit. He still makes excellent art, though.
And this! Your work gets better and better.
Love this!
