it really does need to just be totally uncontroversial common sense across all peoples that monolinguals aren't allowed to make generalizations about the differences between languages
Spending the last couple days of being a hermit but not accounting for the lack of certain foods in the house, so your body’s feeling the distinct lack of v e g g i e

I /love/ it when I get blatantly gross assumptions about my identity and ideals and politics that's completely unrelated to the conversation at hand. /sarcasm
Dunno if friends would agree that I rarely get genuinely pissed off, but tonight's one of those nights that I'm actually feeling like a gasket and not in a good way
An interesting video about how non white food (especially Asian ones here) gets the "ew" from white people but if one of them introduced them on tiktok, it's "trendy" and "so good"

If anything, whatever thread that MAY have tried to get me staying constructed, was definitely cut by the time Prop 8 was a thing lmao
Honestly? I grew up around classmates that came from multiple other faiths (Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, to name the major ones). And being in schools that already acknowledged said faiths meant that I don’t think I ever took the teachings of my church too literal, even while I was “more active”
Homemade salmon poke a success (*゚ᗜ˚)ノ Just gotta make proper sushi rice and marinade instead of just... throwing some vinegar + soy sauce and pray for the best.....

LRT I believe this also extends to thinking/ranting about it, even if it’s followed by claims that you don’t ultimately care about their actions. They may not hear it outright, but they still win by virtue of being thought of in any capacity.
Dunno if this helps anyone but a reason why “don’t engage, just block” is so effective is that most troll culture is just about them feeling like they’ve won by virtue of having made you waste your time. It’s just emotional vampirism. Once you understand that, engaging seems pointless.
i've been seeing the r word a lot more frequently lately even by people on the left and personally i think we should leave that one in the past
I am unfortunately 2/2 with whatever this type is

Having that post-overslept-nap grogginess like that one skrunkly baby bird
i don't think a work of fiction having importance to you is inherently bad, is the feeling of entitlement that fanbases encourage and let fester like a breeding ground. the fun ends when people start acting like they own the work
ever notice how every giant fandom becomes a toxic cesspool full of drama and resentment towards the creator of the work they're all obsessing over, hmm almost like centering your life around a piece of media is not healthy

My least favorite personality trait in the whole wide world is being unable to be happy for a friend who enjoys something you dislike. Like if you can't shut up for five seconds when your friend is talking about a thing they like. Why is your misery more important than your friend's happiness.
my opinion on the Bad Bunny halftime show, and non-English music in general, is that i think a need to “be able to understand the lyrics” displays an embarrassing shallowness of the speaker to appreciate the voice as an instrument & to appreciate music as something other than a lyric delivery system
