Will be interesting to see what St Mirren do next now that Robinson has bottled the cup double chance and gone to Aberdeen. Tough one for anyone coming in, knowing they're following a League Cup winner, with relegation still a distinct possibility but a Scottish Cup semi coming next month too.

Last time Aberdeen went to St Mirren for a manager it ended in them achieving the biggest Scottish Cup shock in the history of the tournament.

Well I say ended... he still got another league game after that!

It's mid March. The squad needs a summer rebuild, ahead of European qualifiers. We need a manager to do that, don't have one. We need scouting and recruitment to help, don't have that. No chairman. New NEDs promised, but no movement. A chain of events that need to happen, they've done none of it.

Both votes SNP increases the number of unionist MSPs. You need a significant drop in constituency seats for both votes SNP to bring about the majority of 2011. Don't buy into concerns about winning the constituency vote, just get the first vote out there for SNP! Maximise the pro-independence MSPs!

I remember a few years ago being told that even if I don't agree with SNP policies I should "hold my nose and vote for them anyway" because they're the pro-independence party.

Same goes for giving the list vote to the Greens. Both votes SNP has been proven to be folly. Hold your nose and vote Green

I think we're all Bodo/Glimt fans at this point. Annoyingly they're playing one of the other three teams that aren't from one of the big five.

On the plus side, none of the six English teams actually won. And of the two that drew, only one is at home next week. Fingers crossed they all go out.

Yep, and I wouldn’t dispute that we have to stop using them as a one off. Doesn’t mean paper straws are the answer, they aren’t fit for purpose. There has to be another option that’s environmentally friendly but also functional. If it can’t last a McDonald’s milkshake or a movie drink, it’s useless.

It might be in some cases, but in others I disagree. The fundamental problem for me is I far more often go to the shop on the way home. I don't carry recycling with me at all times. The bottle return scheme concept was another one I hated because it was to replace an easier system that works!

We definitely need to address this to save the planet and save ourselves. Make the systems themselves better, and people will more easily switch to doing the right thing. Until then, heels will continue to be dragged.

That can't just be me? If I'm going to the shop to get stuff, I (mostly) remember to take bag to bring back the stuff I've bought. It doesn't cross my mind to pick up the pile of dead batteries to recycle them at the shop! Especially if I go to the shop on the way home from something else!

Apparently you CAN recycle the plastic wrap, but only if you take it along with carrier bags to a shop. Which again, isn't as convenient as having a bin at your house you can just put it in for someone to collect.

Or if you're like me you have a collection of batteries you keep forgetting to take.

These things make it hard to persuade people to switch, unless it's forced on them (like paper straws). The one that still really bugs me is the way mince is packed now. More plastic in the bin, rather than a tray you could (in theory) recycle.

The problem with trying to be greener/healthier etc in life is almost always the alternative isn't as palatable. Healthy food is more expensive. Paper straws are woeful compared to plastic. Electric cars take an age to charge, relatively speaking. Electric hobs are rubbish compared with gas hobs.

The real reason sectarianism will never be dealt with in Scottish football is because people use the word and have no concept of what it means. People using it after Sunday are talking about the violence on the park (which was arseholes not bigotry) and NOT things like the add-ons to Simply the Best

They also failed to apply the tried and tested segregation and safe travels from the pre-2018 dummy oot the pram reduction, further endangering the visiting supporters.

But a spokesperson for them said they did great, so no further questions. Doesn't fit the narrative.

It's disgusting. I'm not surprised they think it's intentional. The 7500 was well policed for years, with safe paths and movement of people well known by those who went. Yet on Sunday they kept it narrow as if we just had the corner. They need held accountable, and no one will do it.

If the police think they did a good job on Sunday, they're unfit for purpose. The @rgcceltic.bsky.social is evidence they've "forgot" how to segregate when the away fans have the full away end. More specifically, there's video evidence of them standing watching a Rangers fan batter a steward. Awful.

So do I generally, but that's just a couple of paragraphs of utter nonsense where he makes his own agenda fit the purpose. I really wish more people would take a step back, look at the evidence, take their own assumptions and bias out of it, and base things on that.

Agreed. If they were any good they'd have done it long before yesterday's latest attack.
