Meanwhile, in Vermontβ¦
People are getting gassed for protesting ICE. Yep, thatβs still going on. America sure is great, isnβt it?

Thanks to everyone who watched and shared kind words about our weird short film, The Narrator.
If youβd like to take a break from the horrors, hereβs a few minutes of cosmic dread comedy:

Short film released! The Narrator is a 12 minute tale of a story that refuses to be told. It stars the great @phillamarr.bsky.social. I wrote & directed this back in 2023. Co-produced by Christian Ruvalcaba with music by @tonythaxton.bsky.social!

In my bright vision of the utopian future, humans will be heads in a jar. I will own the jar and you will pay me rent. I will keep your bodies in a warehouse and you get access to them by paying a monthly subscription to BODY MAX PLUS*
*taste buds and physical sensation not included
And if you do enjoy The Narrator, please do all the things on YouTube. Like and subscribe! Leave a comment! Ring a bell! Share a link! Verb a noun!
Thanks to everyone who made the film possible! This was a fantastic first toward our feature film DEAD MEDIA.
After years of pitching scripts in Hollywood, I wanted to create something that wasn't tied up in the marketing speak I had gotten used to. I didn't want to worry about labels or quadrants or approval. I just wanted something weird to exist and I hope you enjoy The Narrator existing, too!
I made The Narrator to learn more about the process and make sure building a career in filmmaking was what I really wanted to do. It was stressful, even more expensive than I expected, and a huge amount of gratifying fun. So the answer was a loud resounding YES.

You can also check out our short horror film, THE NIGHTMARE ADORABLE, right now. It's a 22 minute horror film about two influencers who trigger the wrath of a cultist by selling a cute toy of an unspeakable beast. Fun!

A YouTube thumbnail for a short film. A stylized font reads The Narrator. A pensive man sits in a chair next to a small bowl of fire
A YouTube thumbnail for a short film. Stylized text reads The Demon's Commentary. A woman tends an outdoor fire pit. Behind her a demonic presence lurks
A YouTube thumbnail for a short film. Stylized text reads Deep Into Norway. In a forest, a creepy troll carving half emerges from a tree
Over the last few years, Iβve made several short films to experiment on my way toward making our feature film, DEAD MEDIA. Iβm releasing a short every Thursday for the next 3 weeks starting March 12th!

Reading is a dangerous game
Some people organize their books by title or genre or color, but I organize my books by stacking them into huge teetering piles that loom over me like a metaphor for the instability of life
Re supposed end of the Target boycott: itβs 100% bullshit. See statement below from an *actual* leader of the initial DEI boycott.
Even if true (to repeat, itβs not!), itβs not up to any small group. Target has fixed nothing + compounded its DEI sins with ICE complicity. People are done with it!

A view down the stairs of the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. A corridor is partially draped in yellowish curtains that look like the plastic the TV character Dexter hangs up before he takes a victim
Walked by the set up for the Oscars red carpet and at this stage it looks disturbingly similar to Dexter setting up a kill room
Honest Text To Friend: Sorry Iβm running late, I lost track of time while I was staring into the middle distance having imaginary arguments with people
A picture from a Star Wars making of documentary. The puppet of Yoda floats above an open pit, a hand around his necks, his eyes seem to say "this is my life"
Very relatable "how your email finds me" image

Spring ahead. Jump forward. Tumble off the cliff of time. Grasp desperately for anything to hold on to as you flail through the future abyss, the ghost of past you looking on knowing something somewhere has been stolen. Happy Daylight Saving Time!

A pair of skeletons sit on a garage roof at a jaunty angle. One raises their hand in enthusiastic greeting
The neighborhood skeletons seem very much ready for the weekend. Iβm with you, neighborhood skeletons, Iβm with you
Reposting as #BandcampFriday becomes #BandcampFridayNight
Four album covers. The first is for a creepy audio story called The Beast That Ate The Dawn with a Lovecraftian monster on it. The second is Rebel Scum with a man smiling and holdng up a beer. The third is Joseph Scrimshaw VS Time with a man holding up an oldie-time phone. The fourth is Flaw Fest with a man holding a microphone and looking squirrely
It is happening once again! #BandcampFriday where all proceeds go to the artists. Buying an album will A) make me feel great and B) help pay for more film fest submissions for our horror film DEAD MEDIA.

What we see here is Donald Trump, acting as he always does, as a global chaos generator.
The further we stand away from that, the better off we will be.

Had a great rehearsal for a short horror film Iβm shooting next week with Jessica Fenton, one of the stars of our horror feature DEAD MEDIA. Very excited for the fun version of scary times
The House is voting on a War Powers Resolution to end Trump's illegal war in Iran.
The price of unchecked war powers is paid by innocent civilians and servicemembers sent into harmβs way.
Voting YES to put a check on Trump's reckless abuse of power.
Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and itβs good sheβs gone.
But this doesnβt change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.
Fired is a great first step for Noem, now on to tried
Instead of Captchas or Two-Factor Authentication, we should prove we're human with an explosive 30 second string of creative swearing
