Having Spurs routinely knock out Tamworth in ET, when they should be due a return trip to a massive stadium, irks me no end. I'd forgotten about that particular rule change.

I would hope there is a decent candidate lined up if the club have pulled the trigger in such an unsentimental manner.

Would hope for a Schumacher, Wagner, or even Challinor, and not a 'big name' for the sake of it.
