🚨 Israel strikes Iranian oil infrastructure in major escalation

Israeli aircraft struck energy facilities around Tehran on Saturday, with Israeli Channel 14 reporting that about 30 large oil storage tanks at Iran’s largest refinery were targeted in one of the most significant escalations since the war began.

Footage shows major fires at the Shahr-e Rey oil refinery south of Tehran, one of Iran’s largest refining complexes, and an explosion at the Fardis oil depot in Karaj, a city west of the capital.

A source in Iran’s Oil Ministry told Fars News that three depots in Kouhak and Shahran in Tehran, as well as Karaj, were struck by Israeli fighter jets.

The attacks come as Israeli officials openly call for crippling Iran’s energy sector. Opposition leader Yair Lapid said Israel should destroy Iran’s oil fields and facilities on Kharg Island, arguing it would cripple Iran’s economy and help topple the government.

🚨 Hezbollah has launched two consecutive rocket barrages toward Haifa, with a large number of projectiles fired in quick succession, according to multiple videos circulating online.

Preliminary assessments suggest the rockets may be Fajr-type, a longer-range system capable of striking deep into northern Israel.

The group has launched several barrages into Israel throughout the day, marking the most sustained period of cross-border fire by the group since the escalation began, according to Al Jazeera.

🎥 Footage circulating online shows Israeli air defenses rapidly firing large numbers of interceptors from near Kiryat Shmona, a northern Israeli city close to the Lebanese border that hosts key military and air defense infrastructure.

🚨 Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it struck a skyscraper near Dubai Marina housing U.S. troops with a drone in the 27th wave of Operation True Promise 4.

Dubai authorities confirmed debris from an interceptor has killed one person.

🔹Iranian state media said the drone hit an area near the Warner Bros. building in Dubai Marina, where the IRGC claims American personnel were residing. Video circulating online shows the aftermath of the strike.

🔹The IRGC also said it targeted the command unit of the U.S. Fifth Fleet’s drone vessel force and an American military support warehouse at Bandar Salman in Manama, Bahrain.

🔹In Haifa, Iran said it fired Kheibar Shekan ballistic missiles at Israeli military targets, including the Haifa refinery, describing the strike as retaliation for Israel’s earlier attack on the Tehran refinery.

The claims were issued by the IRGC and carried by Fars News. Independent confirmation for all claims was not immediately available, but footage carried by Al Jazeera shows a refinery in Tehran on fire, and smoke and fire from retaliatory strikes and impacts in Haifa.

🚨 Drone strike near Dubai airport briefly halts operations just as Dubai airspace reopened

Video circulating online shows a drone strike at Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Saturday, triggering an explosion and smoke and forcing a temporary suspension of airport operations, according to AP.

Dubai’s airspace had already been closed earlier in the week as the regional war escalated, suspending flights for several days across the UAE and neighboring states.

Airport authorities said operations partially resumed after the brief halt, though airlines — including Emirates and other international carriers — are currently operating reduced schedules.

Dubai International Airport is usually the world’s busiest airport for international passenger traffic, handling more than 95 million travelers in 2025.

Our post from 11:08am Dubai time regarding operational status is no longer current, and has been deleted to avoid causing unnecessary confusion.

Emirates has resumed operations. Passengers who have confirmed bookings for this afternoon’s flights may proceed to the airport. This includes customers transiting in Dubai, if their connecting flight is also operating.

Customers can check the flight schedule for upcoming flights, as well as book seats to travel: http://emirat.es/nowoperating

Emirates continues to monitor the situation, and we will develop our operational schedule accordingly.

We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience. The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised.

🚨 BREAKING: Kuwait has reduced oil production and refining throughput as tensions rise in the Gulf, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced, citing risks linked to Iran and threats to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

KPC added the reduction will be reviewed as the situation develops and production can be restored once conditions allow. The state oil company stressed that Kuwait’s domestic energy needs remain fully secured under existing plans.

Kuwait is a small, oil-rich monarchy in the Arabian Gulf with one of the world’s highest GDPs per capita, heavily dependent on petroleum exports that account for the vast majority of government revenue.

According to JPMorgan, Kuwait would exhaust its oil and fuel storage in about 14 days if the Strait of Hormuz were closed—making it the second most exposed producer after Iraq (6 days) and far more vulnerable than Saudi Arabia, which could last up to 65 days if alternative export routes are used.
