7DRL Jam complete! Had a lot of fun putting this together this week. I'm not sure if I'll put much more time into this blobbler specifically, but I do really like the format and I will definitely revisit it in the future #7drl #gamedev #drpg #blobber #indiedev
This is my favorite screenshot so far. The goal message bugged out because it wasn't checking to see if you've already done it. But more importantly: it shows thieves remaining hidden when they crit, and multiple mages causing carnage by casting CHAIN LIGHTNING! #7drl #blobber #indiedev #gamedev
I'm throwing together a blobber for #7drl. I've had to cut a lot of things from scope but I managed to add enough mechanics today to make Thieves and Mages viable as party members, respectively they can auto-crit from the shadows and cast CHAIN LIGHTNING!

After many detours and distractions, the game can finally be finished. Though I have no idea how long it will take without dev cheats. Tomorrow I can starting adding a bunch of other fun stuff like items and spells! #7drl #gamedev #indiedev #blobber #drpg
I wanted to have a victory condition by today but for now there is at least a fail state. There's no strategy yet, everybody wales on the other team over and over until one side is gone, and there's currently no downside to a full party of warriors.

Ascii roguelike screenshot. Shows a map screen overlaid on the main game view. The map is mostly brown and very abstract. A title says Treasure Maps, and a subtitle says The Known World.
Working on multiple screen layers for popups, and a treasure maps popup for my #7drl. The overall world map here is a little odd, but I think it'll work. The idea for treasure maps is that you'll have to sail until you find an island that matches one of your maps and then travel to where the X is.
#7DRL progress post: Got my HUD all set up and generating random stats for characters, I have a folder full of these public domain portraits to pick from. Now I really need to actually add some gameplay with random encounters.
Oh yeah. It's all coming together.
Slapped some of @strideh.bsky.social's textures on some basic geometry and used tinting to badly approximate lighting and the place immediately looks convincing. Ready to start adding some mechanics. #7drl #indiedev #gamedev
Just stumbled my way through making a random map generator. It's messy and sometimes makes some disconnected passages but it will do fine. #7drl #indiedev #gamedev
I was going to start after lunch but I can't wait any longer. Gonna transform this old blobber prototype into a real game for #7drl
Sample of various window textures and a door in retro Warhammer Fantasy style
When all else fails, making pixelated textures is one of the things that relaxes me. I've started creating a small OldHammer-style set
I wouldn't mind doing a storytime post somewhere. Probably better on Tumblr where I can actually do a full blog post, than here where I'd have to split it into bite-sized chunks.
Doodled another little sword-babe. Mix of pencils and watercolor markers. #traditionalart #sketchbook #artsky
A big part of my recent #TTRPG obsession is this picture of Annah I drew before. It's inspired me to put together a #Planescape one-shot Iβll run using BFRPG in a couple months.
I also doodled this guard over the last week. I imagine him being a watchman in some Evil-aligned town in the Outlands.
Been on a real #TTRPG kick since I finished the art challenge last month. Iβm running an ongoing Classic #Traveller sandbox campaign and Iβve integrated the #Battletech rules for vehicle-scale combat. Are you a real OG? Do you know what module I'm running? I wasn't even born when it was published!

Lovely!
Art commission for @momoeroge.bsky.social and I really enjoyed drawing this.πβ¨

This is why we need to go back to PS2/Gamecube limits for game graphics
We could be making this type of stuff with extremely short dev cycles because the art tools are so fucking good nowadays, but all the higher ups are interested in is making sure we can see Naked Snake's nose hairs
QRP with your women art!
Stop scrolling and go and create something. You know you want to, you know you can, but your brain is all over the place. Focus. You know what the problem is, and it's probably a problem you created in your head for yourself. Just write.
Fuck's sake.
I can definitely feel Iβve grown as an artist this month. I got to experiment with a bunch of different techniques and got a better idea of my strengths and weaknesses. Back to gamedev for now, but I plan to do another artwork every month.
My favorite has got to be Annah from PS:T #dailyart #krita
I definitely didn't consider this Valkyrie one sexual, but moderation didn't seem to care for the difference. I'll also throw in a fanart I did for Mousetrap, it wasn't flagged but the game is NSFW.
I'm mostly a gamedev, only just getting into art now to improve my skills.
One mod I can't play without is just a simple one to change his and the Mudcrab merchant's gold purse to like 10 coins. They're just too convenient and otherwise I never sell to anyone else.
If Markdown is enough for you but LaTeX is too much then I highly recommend Typst. A lot of the basic syntax for stuff like italics is the same as MD and the scripting system isn't rotted by fifty years of layering abstractions.
