It took two hours for Albanese to declare support for the latest US/Israeli war crimes.
How long has it taken the Labor Party to consider raising the rate? To halting fossil fuels? To seriously address the racism to First Nations and Muslims?
The ALP in your head is long dead.

As a middle power, Australia should be careful what it wishes for when it comes to an illegal war with Iran | Andrew Wilkie
I resigned from the intelligence services over the fraudulent case for the invasion of Iraq in 2003. And I see some alarming parallels with this case
Do we really want a world where the strong can do as they please and the weak suffer as they must? I wrote for The Guardian today about why Australia shouldnβt stand for this, and why international law matters for a middle power like Australia #auspol #politas

Australian police are using criminal checks to punish critics of Israel
Charges that fail in court are continuing to damage reputations
A core tenet of our justice system is the presumption of innocence. But for two years, police have been undermining this fundamental principle, inflicting lasting damage on innocent people whose only 'crime' is disagreeing with government policy.

Minab Girls School Attack Death Toll Mounts to 148
The death toll from the Israeli and US airstrikes on the southern Iranian city of Minab has risen to 148, with at least 95 others injured, according to local authorities and Iranian state media.
Wow!
Looking it up the second strike was on a nearby clinic treating the injured schoolgirls from the first strike.
Either that's some wicked planning or it's a very calculated response to not killing all the kids.
This event is SO much worse than I thought!

Story on The Australian front page:
Israelβs deadliest day: Nine die in public shelter in Beit Shemesh struck by Iranian missile
Volunteer medic Ronit Elimelech rushed her elderly mother and three children to the shelter as sirens wailed, instinctively grabbing her vest and the medical equipment sheβd used to save countless lives. It wasnβt enough to save her own.
All civilian deaths are tragic, but we're getting a real sense of whose lives are valued more.
If The Australian had run this story for Gaza it would have had to do it more than 8,000 times.
Never mind one for the around 150 children killed in a Tehran school just this week...

As of tonight, licenses of trans people across Kansas are being invalidated en masse, enabling the overnight criminalization of an entire group of people for going about our lives. Itβs often said you never know when youβre living through history, so let me assure you: thatβs whatβs happening now.

Imagine that overnight your ability to drive was taken away, and it would take who knows how long to get it back. How much would that fuck with your ability to do basic things like earn money, not get fired from your job, feed yourself, get medical care, see family.

Has anyone dealt with dog depression? We got Bonnie at 3 months old & she has only ever known life with Bella. Now Bella is gone, Bonnie is not eating properly, often refusing to drink, and to go to the toilet. She rarely leaves my side. The Vet thinks it is depression and has no real answers.

Because of the National driver register, since their licenses are suspended, trans folks cannot move to another state and get a new license until they remove the suspension on their existing Kansas license.
They can't even escape this by moving to another state.

If Albo is right that children are obliged to lie in the bed that their mother made, why is he sleeping at the Lodge and not a public housing flat, while the children of the "ISIS brides" must remain in a refugee camp in Syria? Seems a little inconsistent, logically, just saying.

Surprises, shocks and sequins: Inside the fight for the future of Mardi Gras
As Mardi Gras approaches its 48th year, itβs facing internal divisions, funding crises and cancellations.
It is an event where queer rights are still being fought for, Greenwich says. βThe reality is, in NSW, a teacher or a student can still be kicked out of a private school because of their sexuality. #auslaw #nswpol

Absolutely. Everything about him is a carefully crafted performance. Being perceived as a bumbling coward gives him cover to do the reckless and selfish stuff he wants to do. Look at the way he invokes his mother, or the fact he co-started parliamentary friends of Palestine. Everything is an act.
