There is a hard-core path around the outskirts of the pitchs
The pitches. It was along the hedgerow, but as I left it was probably viewable from the path by old tin hide on the Doxey Marshes side.
A little pre-eurovision party twitch to a WOODCHAT SHRIKE in Stafford! Excellent find! Enjoyed watching this just a few miles from home. Great when lots of Local birders see it too! #staffsbirds #ukbirding

On the way home from a fabulous #birdringing trip in Norway. Fabulous birding in a fabulous place with fabulous people (Birders' Paradise- Nesseby, Norway). Highlights included White-billed diver and Arctic Skua on Fjord, ringing Northern Goshawk and seeing Great Grey Shrike in the hand.
