When we sent out leaflets for the local council elections promising to “cut your taxes”, we obviously didn’t mean council tax! Why would we mention the only tax relevant to local elections in local election campaign material?
This very straight news piece buried deep within the FT never uses words like corruption or insider dealing but every detail is quietly devastating. Why is the FT virtually alone in the UK media in covering this important story?
When an illegal war, likely to cause mass murder, is launched, we have a choice of 2 positions:
1. It's wrong and has to stop.
2. Hurray! Let's join in.
Much of the UK Establishment - Conservatives, Reform, the billionaire media - went straight for Option 2.

How much more evidence do we need? The ultra-rich and the governments supporting them will destroy everything for the sake of profit, power and pride. Nothing is precious to them - not human life, not the living world - except their own wealth and status. Our survival depends on resisting them.
We are facing an energy crisis. Britain is the worst exposed in Europe with only 2 days gas supply stored. If only we had our own gas to exploit. Or our own oil. Or our own coal.... Blame @Ed Miliband (Allison Pearson on X)

Reasons to use human creatives and not AI:
1. Powered by coffee and cake, not world-killing power grids.
2. Good results, not derivative slop.
3. You’re not a massive jerk, a thief or a charlatan.
4. Creatives have pets, using human creatives allows us to buy them treats. Buy a dog some chicken.
This is an absolutely huge jump in oil prices.
It's also why Europe needs to get off fossil fuels asap (beyond climate change impact). We can't be beholden to this.
