They donated $1 million to the Trump/Vance inauguration committee. Target also allowed ICE to stage in its parking lots during Operation Metro Surge. I do prompt them, but their characters are not the kind to do interrogations or engage in B&E. The PCs are afraid of attracting attention, and are much more ethical than I anticipated. Makes for a different dynamic. I just need to adjust how I do things.

Oh they very much do want to be playing this kind of campaign, they just made characters who decidedly are not the kind who engage in interrogations or B&E. They’ll do hacking, but from a safe distance. I just have to adjust my expectations.

Hard to do when the clues are invoices, communications, and memories. Today, they caught the bad guy who /probably/ knows who’s buying ships from him, but let him go after finding out what spooked him to make a break for it. The chase was entertaining, but didn’t move the story forward much. 🤷🏻‍♂️

One of the problems running clue-based procedural-oriented TTRPG campaigns is knowing where to place clues so the PCs can find them. Tricky when the party doesn’t rifle through desks, hack computers, or question or interrogate the bad guys. I keep expecting what we see in TV shows, but they don’t.

I probably could if I cared to. I don’t immediately refill the feeder when it is empty, so they have to deal with not always being able to get their fill. Birdseed is cheap, and Ace keeps sending me coupons for more. My laziness is the real limiter here.

I recently bought a WiFi camera-enabled bird feeder. It’s absolutely amazing how quickly the local birds can go through seed. If I fill it entirely with black sunflower seeds, it’s empty in under three days. A mix of seeds, nuts, and fruit lasts a couple of days longer. These birbs are voracious!
