I finished both Wind and Truth, and Quicksilver yesterday, and the book hangover is so real.

I thought I'd treat myself to a lighthearted holiday romance audiobook, only to discover it's NOT LIGHTHEARTED. The love interest DIES before she can even tell him she loves him, too. My fucking heart.

Freya was so good for her appointment today. We finally got her in for some tests, and turns out little miss is diabetic.

I'd love to hear any advice from other diabetic cat owners as we embark on this new journey. I'm sure we'll navigate this just fine, but it feels a little overwhelming.

Hey, this week was a lot to take in. Be kind to yourself and do something to bring a little joy into your day. Like a croissant ice cream sandwich.

Having a uterus is fun because sometimes your hormones just decide to take you on a trip and suddenly you're sobbing for 10 minutes for no reason. 🙃

I wish I did! This was a couple years ago, and I wasn't good at keeping notes. If I get around to doing it again I'll be sure to actually track the recipe.

Took weeks of trying different things. I settled on a banana bread cookie that I shaped in the slats of a cooling rack before it cooled. Still had a soft texture, but held together fairly well.
