The only “semi” counter I’ve seen to behemoth walkers is Dragon’s Breath. I say semi-counter, because it’s risky, you have to be relatively close to them to land a direct hit reliably, and the interaction where it kills the guardian inside is likely unintended, and if so, it’s gonna be patched.
Regarding specifically 1v1 invasions, I wish there was some way to enact a gentleman’s rule, where renegade abilities would be disabled upon interacting with a hologram or something.
I’m not sure what changes I would propose to Bungie, but ever since people started unlocking the level 7 abilities (which is very easy to do), the lawless frontier invasions went from something I enjoyed, to something I don’t really want to engage with.
One of my friends told me earlier today that she loaded into a 1v1, where the opposing player only engaged with their golden gun, and with level 7 revitalize HAVING FOUR CHARGES, they were able to do so very easily with literally no downsides or consequences.
In 1v3, it’s a mixed bag. You might load in while the jamming signal is active, you have the advantage of cover in the close quarters/indoors areas, and of course there’s the enemy factions present, creating distractions. You could also very well load into a full team of behemoths.
Having a guaranteed super, full abilities, and an absurdly powerful vehicle with an on demand freeze button was certainly a choice. 1v1 invasions are 99% this, and I need to ask: who thought this was going to be okay? If you’re in an open area, which most 1v1 arenas are, there’s 0 counterplay.
Bungie really said “if everyone’s super, no one will be” for the lawless frontier activity, huh. Don’t get me wrong, I love the activity so far. I haven’t had this much fun in a long time. But now that the dust has settled, the meta has shown its face, and its name is revitalize/behemoth.

With the introduction of bolt charge, I can absolutely see this happening. I'm envisioning the super being a GIGA bolt charge for burst damage, with the surrounding area being either blinded or jolted for some added functionality.
