For a brief second I was back on Earth 1: I watched an HBO Max show and it didn't begin with an ad for another HBO Max show.

They should just tell him Putin called and ordered him to stop the war immediately.

Eight days, and not only no other news, not a peep from the stakeholder orgs for archivists, historians, political scientists, public historians, genealogists, records managers, curators, gov info/FOIA pros, etc.
Here are some of their (quick) responses to past Archivist nominees (see ALT text):
For those who are thinking, "Duh, desert=hot, dude!": next week will be only the second time Phoenix has ever seen 100Β° or higher in March.
Four stages of maturity
Not knowing the right thing to say
Knowing the right thing to say but not knowing the right time or way to say it
Knowing the right thing to say at the right time in the right way
Realizing that people's reactions to what, when, and how you say things is entirely on them
That the high here early next week will be 30Β° higher than it is now (and it's in the 70s now π) means an inconvenient, annoying, and rushed climate migration five weeks earlier than I'd planned to leave, with more options and less urgency than the awful climate emergencies awaiting us all.
Well we'll already have the detention centers, with exactly the kind of conditions in which the perps believe people should be held.

For the amount of money that monster wasted on that horsehit, I could produce more than *7,000* separate microbudget independent films of the type I'm currently working on.
The DC Bar charges against Ed Martin are very Ed Martin-y. After DCBar starts inquiry, Martin writes Chief Judge of DC Court of Appeals 3x ex parteβtwice after being warned not toβ& demands that DCBar counsel be suspendedβtriggering additional charges.

I did earlier this evening, and it was indeed most pleasing.
I got out of the app, came back in, and it was no longer in the main recommendation area (I figured they would have set it to ignore our preference, but they honored it).
The bright sunset can be seen in a small, portrait-oriented window of an RV, its blinds drawn. The reflection shows the silhouettes of some mesquite trees, the blob of the yellow sun, then the horizontal lines of the blinds in the sky, streaks of clouds floating over them. The trees make shadows on the rear wall of the RV, which is bathed in the yellow light, and has brown and tan horizontal stripes, with some silver swooshes. The left side of an affixed black metal ladder can be seen on the right side of the frame.

It's been 65 days since Donald Trump invaded a sovereign state, abducted its leader, and declared the US will "run" the state indefinitely
It's been 9 days since Trump launched a war (his word) against Iran without congressional approval
No House member has filed articles of impeachment for either
The remains of a barrel cactus that died and fell long ago, its stem leaning against the hollow end. The first foot or so of the cactus has lost its spines, and the exposed yellow and brown ribs look like an eaten corn on the cob. A Mesquite tree is in the background, and the stump of the cactus is in the four ground, along with many of the fallen, tan spines.
Glad I finally found holders big enough and it sure is tasty, but barrel cactus on the cob just stings too much.
Happy to discuss that different topic.
Fun facts: that's not a presidential library nor a federal archives; it's a private center/museum with no federal funding or staff; and the presidential records and materials of the Obama administration have been, as federal law requires, in National Archives facilities/custody since his term ended.
Shoutout to all in Arizona who work with colleagues mostly in the Eastern time zone; the start of DST is, unquestionably, worse for those Arizonans than for anyone else in the country.
Awww
So now federal officials are using the New York Post as a reliable source for anything other than bad takes on the Mets?
Neither party has a stellar record when it comes to the "history" in the federal presidential libraries.

His and Vance's presence alone make it undignified; hawking his merch makes it a Degradation Transfer.
Good.
Now who will sue to have all of Jimmy Byron's actions as the ineligible and illegally appointed head of the National Archives declared null and void?
(And discovery could tell us how long after Rubio's statutory eligibility ended he continued to serve as Acting Archivist, unlawfully.)

Iranβs people were facing a horrible shortage of water before the war began. If we are destroying desalination plants and setting fire to Teheran we are committing unfathomable crimes.
It's on IMDb, so, you know⦠it's real.
