Overall takeaways:

-Daily posting has made me a better editor!
-Instagram likes your twitch clips
-YouTube & TikTok couldn't care less about your twitch clips but you can get lucky

TikTok HATED my clips lmao. The algo also doesn't like that I don't use/upload from the app!

But as soon as I posted my scripted anime recommendation shorts, I finally reached my target audience! Almost 1k views on a TikTok!

The lesson: MAKE SCRIPTED AND WELL-EDITED CONTENT!

I started cross-posting clips on here and got more success than on YouTube. A couple reels even blew up!

This is how I learned that how I edit my shorts isn't the problem, it's that I wasn't reaching the target audience. It's easier to gain followers on Instagram with daily posting!

-- and overall, I think YouTube does NOT like it when you just post clips! 👎

So I took some advice from other content creators and found the thing I'm most passionate about, anime, to make shorts on! Those have been doing decently well on my other channel!

On the same channel as my VODs, I posted daily clips of funny moments from my streams! The best performing shorts:

-Telling stories (usually got 2k views)
-Funny moments from visual novels (got 2.2k views)
-Drawing and making jokes (got 1.5k views)

But these lost momentum after a bit --

As of January 21st I've been posting DAILY shorts:

on YouTube for 3 months
on TikTok, Insta, Facebook for 2 months
