It's been #1 with me before. I remember that day it came out after all the delays.
I had a song called "BCMB Sux" for the next thing but scrapped it.
DI moved up from the bottom on this listen. EIG went down a few. I love all these records, in fact, EIG has two of my favorite Shellac songs so it being at the bottom says something.
On this listen through this is how I'd rank them:
1. The first two 7"s (is this cheating? I dunno but I love those two little records and the AC/DC cover on the other 7")
2. At Action Park
3. 1000 Hurts
3. Terraform
4. Dude Incredible
5. To All Trains
6. End of Radio (Peel Sessions)
7. EIG
My ranking is going to surprise even me, the Shellac liker.
New Gossip Wolf:
-Chicago-centric rock rag Roadhouse publishes its fourth issue, which comes with a lathe-cut OK Cool seven-inch!
-Torn Light winds down its in-house label!
-a roundup of some rad local releases, plus, yes, a little about Fugaziβs Albini Sessions

Ah the normal early March hail.
NBC News poll Voters hold negative views of Al. In fact, the only topics less popular in the survey were the Democratic Party and Iran.
Truly a perfect news alert
Can't wait to hear about how they just need one more $5 donation and our votes to stop Trump's agenda though
Dead fucking eyes on this dude.
Flier for an all-covers benefit show for Francesca Hong for governor! CHAPPELL HOAN, APE IN A TANK, ALKALINE QUARTET, Saturday 4.25 at X-Ray Arcade
Members of both my bands and some other pals are reconvening our insane obscure-covers-from-the-80s/90s/00s band, APE IN A TANK, to benefit @francescahongwi.bsky.social! We're joined by ALKALINE QUARTET and CHAPPELL HOAN. Go here to find out how to donate!

Why do all the cosplay populist MAGA choads stand like they're about to squeeze out a Baby Ruth
I did a good listen to "To All Trains" when it came out, then kinda stayed away for similar reasons. I think I spun the first two 7"s over the summer, but I am ready to dive back in.
Gonna listen to the Shellac discography because it's been a minute.
We're all out of toner!
oh hey this is tomorrow!!!
HELL yea
Watching Deep Rising. Lamenting the loss of the mid budget creature feature.
I guess it's not all bad out there.
Huh, I have not had a Whopper in a decade, but this is pretty good for a fast food burger.
When a band uses AI art on a fucking album cover, I dont know how seriously I can take that band. You know how many starving illustrator/artists are out there? It's an ecosystem be part of it, or fuck off.
I really like bands that sort of sound like Young Marble Giants.
hell yeah lil brother.
I think I'm going to try one of these "improved" Whoppers tomorrow.
Damn I want to hire this artist to do me a poster.
omg
Hurts me to go against Dante, but Alligator.
