Wow, Gulf shippers are in a real bind here. On one hand, Donald says everything's fine and Gulf shippers should sail on thru. On the other hand: massive boat-melting fireballs. Both sides make good points!

It is extremely difficult to construct a practical case against this position. Net Zero is now as much about patriotism as it is about climate change.

Someone asked me, how could Capitalism be more evil?

But it really can't be, it rewards ripping off, abusing and extorting people, with more money and more power to do it to more people

Until eventually the most evil people end up with all the money/power to destroy the world

Donald Trump's war on Iran has the potential to turn into something far worse than Vietnam or Afghanistan ever were.

In fact it already is.

Everyone in Europe needs to tell him they aren't taking part.

Give him no choice but to make a peace deal.

Let Canada and Mexico host it together.

Politicians in opposition would do well to realise that they don't have to oppose everything and have a negative opinion on everything that happens whilst someone else is in power. It's perfectly acceptable to say nothing. Or even say "Oh we love these the UK has wonderful native wildlife."

This is disgusting, #Labour's #Starmer has more respect for war criminals like #Netanyahu and child rapists like #Trump than he does for the people of #Cymru and #Scotland.

That’s a shockingly lenient sentence for an unprovoked assault on a law-abiding person.

The judge has basically said β€˜if you employ people you can physically assault people, leave lasting damage, and in return expect no more than a light tap on the wrist’.

And reasoning given is specious at best.

I'm fighting Reform's surge in Wales - Farage wants to use us to get into No 10 Rhun ap Iorwerth - the Plaid Cymru leader - says Reform UK is 'exploiting' voters in Wales, while Labour has 'a sense of entitlement'

NEW: Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth tells @theipaper.com that Nigel Farage is using Wales as a "project" to get him into No 10, plus:

🚫 Reform has "zero loyalty to Welsh nationhood"

😬 He couldn't get a meeting with Keir Starmer

A shame NI assembly elections are next year. this leak from the UKGOV is huge for the Senedd & Scottish elections.

I think there's a growing awareness in the two devolved nations and NI region that London are not to be trusted. Especially on spending.

This is designed to undermine Holyrood and the Senned. It’s just not on- these parliamentarians were elected and in the Scottish parliament’s case after years of campaigning. They are undemocratic and authoritarian.

This is to control spending in Scotland, he can't stand the fact the SG do a better job on this, its to stop all the things SG mitigate. He thinks if they don't have these, they'll vote for me. Not how it works.

I think this is a tacit understanding that Labour will loose not only the Holyrood election but, seismically, the Senedd too.

Of course they don’t appear to care about NI. (As usual for the UK gov)

I've been saying it for decades & I'll repeat it again, Wales needs to wake the fuck up, Westminster works for Westminster without a Welsh based Party leading our country we just become another poor english region.
