reminiscing on this thing i just did as an attempt to do daily art in nov 2023, which turned into one of my favorite works 9 months later 🫶

STEPS TO UN-DECOMPOSITION: An Illustrated Guide to Reverse Bedrot* *Translated into the common tongue Panel 1: Shows small person wearing headphones lying down in bed, buried under pile of dirt and mushrooms. STEP 1: DISPOSE OF THE PHONE (cursed artifact) Panel 2: Arm shoots up out of debris pile on bed, holding phone Panel 3: Phone gets hurled to the floor, with a CRACK

STEP 2: EXTRACT SELF FROM BED (compost pile) Panel 3: person flops unceremoniously out of bed, looking absolutely exhausted. The cracked phone is sticking out of the floor. STEP 3: ACTIVATE TODDLER PROTOCOLS - SHOWER (cleanse the flesh) Panel 4: Person pulls on a rope, causing a bucket of water to be dumped on their head. - EAT/HYDRATE (sustain the flesh) Panel 5: Person noms on a massive slice of watermelon - TOUCH GRASS (socialize the flesh) Panel 6: Person sticks head out of window to wave hello to the friendly local dragon

VICTORY! You have successfully resume human form! Time to start your day! Person looks still a little tired but rejuvenate, holds up a victory sign... Before looking at the clock, which unfortunately informs us that it is 9pm and perhaps can no longer be considered the start of the day. AH.

My friend has JusArt brush tip acrylic markers which I’ve tried and thought were really good especially for the price (18 for $10, they got 48 colors for $30 I think)

this is so cool I gasped and immediately sent it to two friends LMAO

A paper mache gremlin sculpture / art doll with huge ears and duck-like webbed feet. He wears a tattered brown and turquoise robe (possibly a fishing net?) with a golden lace collar, and is holding a fishing rod with which he has caught a crescent moon. He is standing next to two white jar candles and some decorative dried oats against a white mulberry paper background.

Alright, back to the workshop it is! Almost done with this little guy, who just caught the moon and will possibly fry it on a pan with a bit of lemon and garlic?

Paper mache, wood, mulberry bark, flax fibres, glass eyes. Painted with acrylics.
