WIP knitted gloves on a 9 inch circular needle
I looked up videos of undoing a bind off and decided to go for it! So far so good
Thanks, that's a good idea to try and save these!
Unless there's a way to undo the bind-off and make it tighter?
The last step of the pattern is to pick up stitches all around that blue thread then take it out & knit the thumb part. It's probably easy, but not something I've ever done before!
Thank you! I will definitely do that for the next pair.
It is! Thank you
A two colour stranded colour work knitted gloves, on a hand.
An unfinished two colour knitted gloves, on a hand. There is no thumb hole yet
One glove finished & it seems to fit well, but I hate how the top edge flares out. I'm hoping it shrinks in when I wash them... If not... Maybe I can felt it a bit or something..?
No thumb hole yet. I've no clue what I'm doing with that so leaving it til both gloves are ready.

This is the dream β¨
What happens in a knitting club mystery book? Do they somehow use knitting to solve crimes?
So many photos
Oh no! I picked these as a practice before doing the gloves I really want because I thought they looked easier being only 2 colours for my first project π
Maybe it's for the best I have no clue and just jumped in π
I'm definitely more than halfway now.
Haha, yes! I think there are probably a lot of knitting terms that would work well π
Photo of two gloves partially knit on very small circular needles. They are colour work using white and fawn, with vertical stripe palms and patterned backs.
Making good progress on my first colour work project. They will be fingerless gloves.
Lots new to me here!
Latvian braids, 100% Shetland wool (super sticky!), double thumb gussets.

Yes! Thank you! I knew that front wheel looked weird, but couldn't figure out why π
I think that's the last one I needed.
Yes! I'm up to 11 and I'm pretty confident about them, but there are lots of vague things the last one could be π
There are probably answers in the main thread by now, but I prefer to just keep staring at it π
I'm up to 11 now. There's probably something wrong with the bike (no brakes? Front fork looks a weird...?) but I just keep thinking maybe bikes were like that back then π€·πΌββοΈ
I've found 9, though the little hat on the bird is surely not a mistake, but just how the world should be.
Can you spot more than me?
A middle-grade-aged girl wearing glasses, jeans and a frog-covered sweater holds a copy of Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile and looks suspicious as she eyes the door of the library behind her. The door is ajar and a sign on it reads "Missing: Librarian." The text on the postcard reads "Michael Dashow, mdashow-kidlitart.carrd.co, repped by Vicky Weber @ CMA."
Hi again #KidLitArtPostcard day! I'm not sure how I found time to draw & paint this month... It's a mystery (not unlike the situation in this illo! ππΈ)

It think carrd do a simple, one page, completely free option. If I'm not mistaken I think that's what @mdashow.bsky.social uses for his kidlit portfolio and it looks great:

EmitΓ‘, a seven year old girl, opens the door to Memoriaβs chambers. The setting is Ancient Greece. EmitΓ‘ is one of the the Moirai, the Fates, and any other deities that control destiny that appear in world mythologies. She is an original character and this is the title page spread for Warriors of Virtue (the graphic novel).
Happy #KidLitArtPostcard Day! Iβm Mili and I am seeking representation.
I decided to turn Warriors of Virtue (my fantasy novel series) into a graphic novel, too. This image is from the proposal Iβm working on.
Stay tuned!

Tomorrow! #KidLitArtPostcard day! This June marks the 5th anniversary of the event. I'm cooking up some fun ideas to celebrate, starting with a logo refresh. I can't wait to see everyone's art! Be sure to triple check your hashtag!!!! #kidlit
I decided not to try and make any of these when I had no clue what I was doing. Instead I dipped my toe into the world of stranded colour work knitting with a Fair Isle bookmark.
