Regarding calling another service I guess depends what service it is and whether you can spin a mock of it locally? Hmmm needs some more thought though....
I actually used build tags, wasn't sure if having 2 entry files would put off people, but I personally didn't mind it. I looked to see if I could improve it and have it in one file. Will include an update to show that path too!
Wrote about one of the ways I built serverless Go APIs.

Nothing more validating than listening on the bus someone recommending the shawarma place I have been going to as "the best" to their friend. Damn right it is, the chicken samoon slaps.
Another noisy tool is Amazon Inspector. So many times I had to just update Go because of a vuln fix but not because the app was affected by it, since we use govulncheck. But good luck convincing the security team π
Almond Croissant, that's it.
I too was distro hopping but stopped with Fedora π
Anything in particular you got your eye on? Can recommend Arc Raiders if you are into extraction shooters.
Go ahead switch to #jj-vcs escape the git prison, be free...
I approve this message.
Great explanation, even copied some of the curl commands to test on my handle as I was reading through it.
In the age of vibe coding it feels like semver.org isn't enough these days, how can you evaluate the vibes of a dependency? Is it compatible with the vibes in my project?
Well, fear not, today I introduce you to vibver.org
Got a recipe I could follow? π
Not excited for your fridge now having a battle pass and an AI chat bot subscription service?
I just agree (no nuance) π
I agree
Feels great having to verify my age to access my DMs πΆ
Was awesome hanging out with you Steven! Gophercon in Mexico sounds great! #gopherconinmxorbust
Big fan of the grid system as someone who is visiting it simplifies it a lot. I just need to know if street number going up or down. Haven't got lost on the way to #Gophercon
London underground will literally become hell at that point π
Have to say expected NYC subway to be like an oven given my experience on the London underground during hot days. Surprisingly not as bad as I thought and the AC is much stronger.
It was a great talk! There was some crazy dark magic shown, wonder what the reaction was from the Go team. Did they expect toolexec to be used like this? π

Big thanks to @www.jvt.me for running the "What story does your dependency tree tell you about your org?"
Great tooling on how to manage dependencies and surface up actionable data using dmd!
You can catch this workshop at GopherconUK if you are attending!
Even more character building if you missed some bits after they dried and have to wash them a second time.
Excited for our first workshop ever!
Never thought I would post how nice a browser is, but highly recommend Zen Browser (based on Firefox). Switched from Firefox the past week and everyday I am finding out useful features! Favorite so far is the built in keyboard shortcuts that act like i3 work spaces.
Go 1.25 is coming soon, and the official release notes are pretty dry.
So I prepared an interactive version with lots of examples.

I always look for your interactive release posts before a release, thanks!
Thanks to Nandos for hosting the June meetup and of course our very own @lotus-engineer.com for the talk!
Nandos chicken was had and discussions on starting small and keep iterating while building a project and error handling proposals being paused as well as new faces to get to know!
