The space is finely decorated, with a bookshelf full of tomes and scrolls, along with a large chalkboard situated behind his desk with copious notes and sketches of various building ideas. A lantern on his desk paints a faint glow on the back of his drafting table and a vase of red tulips, freshly picked and brought in by his husband. Outside, foliage frames the balcony to offer a cool place to sit.
