Is it just me, or does anyone else find it frighteningly surreal that the terrible atrocities, injustices and war crimes of faraway lands that we studied in history books when we were kids are now being committed, promoted and even celebrated by our own U.S. government, on a daily basis?

In a democracy, based on the consent of the governed, the president, his cabinet and the ruling party of elected officials are public servants working on behalf of the people. This despicable regime sees American citizens as pawns in their evil fascist game.
I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
They write the rules, call it freedom, and leave the rest of us to manage our decline. This isn’t failure—it’s design. Understanding the illusion is the first step to ending it.
