Cut to NIH grants, initially only blocked for the 22 states included in the lawsuit, now is blocked for all states. Hopefully folks at places like Penn State and Iowa, where they had been told they could not submit or receive NIH grants, get some relief too.
A patients husband made two hand-crafted piggy banks for my young kids to express gratitude for his wife’s care. What he doesn’t know is my dad -who died from lung cancer when I was 16- loved woodworking. It was like a hello from my Dad today. This job can be hard but oh is it special. #MedTwitter
The good news is that my accident led to great convos with patients! It’s amazing how sports can distract from stressful situations, including scary hospital stays. I’ll admit I heard a lot of “Go @chicagobearsobs.bsky.social & @gbpackers.bsky.social “ chants but I didn’t hold it against them 😉
