Hey. The fragmentation of the social media landscape has been hard on indie #scicomm π§ͺ projects
So if you'd like to follow a podcast that's enthusiastic about #linguistics, could you check out @lingthusiasm.bsky.social?
And if you think your followers might like to, could you give this a repost?
I think this is social media as should be π Good luck with your research Brigitte
Penny, thanks so much for taking the time to look into this and reply π Fascinating records π

Ancient English Woodland in the summer
I miss summer & the leaves on the trees, but not why you think
My father told me the wind helps the trees sing, & if I listen carefully I will hear fragments of music familiar to me
I am surrounded by a symphony of my musical life in our summer woodland. It reminds me of him
π lovely sentiment, I'll take that to β₯οΈ &π
My favourite fact about Iceland is that we have many, many crime writers but only one forensic pathologist, and he was so busy answering all of their questions that he decided to have a small seminar for writers to get some peace.
It immediately sold out so he had another one that also sold out.

Pencil drawing of a large Romano-British roundhouse with stone walls & thatched roof, with a proud Celt standing by the door
Finally it's #HillfortsWednesday π
During the 2019 excavations of Dinas Dinlle coastal hillfort in Gwynedd, I knocked up a pencil sketch of what the enormous 13-metre diameter roundhouse π might have looked like π€
It was good to help the public visualise this huge Romano-British home π€©
