I'd also like to point out that Iran has known this for forty years.

The other thing to consider is a look back at the Iran-Iraq War of the 80s.

All insurance companies need is a small risk, and anything going through the Straight of Hormuz becomes uninsurable.

20% of global oil starts there. No Middle Eastern nations can operate without it.

At 2 weeks in, I think we will have an idea how long this goes.

Plot twist: The US and Israel do not control when this war ends. This adversary is a mix of state and non-state actors. Hezbollah and Hamas, Iran, and various other smaller players are in it.

Also, the US has cut off 25% of China’s oil imports, between Venezuela and Iran. That’s unsustainable for China.

At the very least, I think we might see China making some statements this weekend; or perhaps early next week.

They will see where this goes for… 2 weeks.
