Suede is often made with goat leather, so there's a definite theme to utilise

Edward the Blue Engine looking sad, with the caption 'when someone yet again tells you that actually it's not too hot in here at all, and to stop being silly'
The relentless gaslighting of autistic experience
I see things like this and I can't help but think that giftedness was a nice way to tell wealthy American parents that their kids were autistic
"a bit spectrumy" makes me want to scream
Image of a cartoon young boy inside a wasp nest. 2 wasps in trenchcoats are talking about the holes in the nest, which appear to have been made by stones thrown from inside the hive. They haven't noticed the young boy.
My favourite Gary Larson panel ever.
There's still time to register for @petewharmby.com's talk this Thursday evening from 7-8.30pm. Pete will be talking about Making an Autistic Living. As always, the talk is free and everyone is welcome.

A reminder that the whole autism vaccine myth depends heavily on the fact people would rather their kids died than be autistic.
You can't get micro-machines any more so how the hell am I supposed to protect my home from burglars
Such a sad loss, last year π
This one, definitely among my favourite picks from the great manβs canon π

Seeing a lot of standing stones amongst the herons, pizzas and autism on my feed. Now I'm hoping for forlorn, abandoned industrial architecture.
More forlorn, industrial architecture please Bluesky
There's not enough coffee in the world to make December worthwhile
I swear this is what Lego thinks of all of us lmao
Japanese cover of Untypical with a large black moomin shaped thing drinking tea on a backdrop of trees
I'm sorry but the Japanese cover of my book Untypical is the best cover I've ever seen.
I bet they do. I'd refuse in return.
Good luck everyone in the South West tonight and tomorrow. Looks like it's going to be rather windy.
Reddy Kilowatt is a real cartoon character - a mascot for the US power grid back in the early 20th Century.
Reddy Kilowatt, the US electricity mascot from the 1920s, pulling a knife on a child with the caption "remember kids, electricity will kill you"
I think this is a parody image but my god it goes hard
π¨π¨π¨ Enormous news: the Constitutional Court of Romania has unanimously decided to cancel the presidential elections, G4 Media reports.
The electoral process for the election of the Romanian president has to be re-run in its entirety, with the government setting a new date.
My feed is packed with herons and pizzas and I'm not sure why.
Either the algorithm knows something I don't, or everyone is taking photos of a presumed heron infestation and then celebrating with a margarita
When people imagine autism, they imagine autistic distress. This is damning of society, isn't it?
I believe most people would have a picture of a person (probably a child; probably male) in meltdown, or stimming to calm, or holding hands over their ears.
Rather than, say, a contented autistic person deep in hyperfocus having a great time.
This tells us a lot about society in general, I think.
Writers have been using neurodivergent archetypes in film, TV and literature for centuries.
The world has always been aware of us, but either put us on an impossible pedestal or (more commonly) laughed at us.
Donald and Douglas from Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends both looking grumpy, with the caption 'when autism wants to read this book and ADHD wants to read all the books'
What's that you say?
More Thomas neurodiversity memes?
Sure, I have a tonne....
