I really enjoyed presenting new work at Marquette Law yesterday. Such a kind and generous faculty! They were very much willing to follow me down various rabbit holes, as I explored how mafias are like legal systems.

I'm really happy to see that we still respect academic freedom in Chicago. As an academic administrator myself, I take seriously the idea that I have obligations to students AND faculty.
