I'm at a point where I don't want to test multiple titles OR thumbnails! I just want to post the video after doing some careful thinking about one good title and one good thumbnail.
It's kinda like a miniature quality VS quantity argument every time I package a video now and I'm not enjoying it.

Like before I would brainstorm my a title I was happy with and usually that meant I was really confident in said title. Then I would just try a few different thumbnails and it was nbd.
Now I can pair 3 specific titles with 3 specific thumbnails and it makes my head spin. I hate it.

I've had some time to play around with YouTube's new A/B title testing tool. (It's still rolling out slowly but we have it at vidIQ)
This is just my early impression, but I kinda hate it. Not because it's difficult to use, but because I'm wasting time questioning myself a LOT!

Daily reminder that it's not ok to fully re-upload people's content without permission, even if you give them "credit" in the title/description.

TL;DR: YouTube is making it easier for brands to find creators to work with that are a good fit for said brand.
They're also saying creators can make more money but, importantly, ONLY if the creator is selected.
Advocate for yourself!

Brand integrations on videos that get organic traffic are SO valuable! YOU as a creator have influence. You've built up a community of people who trust you and an ad that YOU read on YOUR video is worth SO much money.
I really wouldn't do this unless the payout matches the *value* you're providing.

Don't get me wrong, this is still an opportunity for more revenue, but I'm skeptical because brand deals can be worth a LOT of money and the number one piece of advice that expects always give is to *never* work for free.
It remains to be seen, but you'll likely make more seeking deals out by hand.

If I understand this correctly, creators will basically publish an "ad" on their channel for public viewing and it's then up to the brand whether they want to link the actual product/service to that video.
So if you're not selected you basically just did a bunch of free marketing for someone.

What I don't like about Open Call is that it has creators making ads on behalf of brands and they only get paid for their work if they're selected.
But if you make a video and you're not selected, I still feel like that's a huge benefit to the brand while you the creator don't get anything...

YouTube is streamlining hiring creators for brands with open call.
YouTube creators provide direct access to engaged audiences for brands, driving influence and delivering business results. At Cannes Lions 2025, we announced open call, โฆ
On the one hand, this gives brands a lot of transparency when it comes to your channel. It's more beneficial for both parties if a brand partnership is a good fit!
On the other hand, this feature coincides with YouTube's new "Open Call" feature: blog.google/products/ads...

YouTube Monetization Policy Update Mythbuster
YouTube video by YouTube Insider
There's countless posts on here which are completely misinterpreting a "new" monetization policy from YouTube.
YT is simply updating language on an old policy they ALREADY had in place.
This is from someone working at YouTube who explains the changes in depth: www.youtube.com/shorts/uM4M8...
