A Spinosaurus mirabilis wearing a hat (shoved on its horn) that says "If i'm lost i've gone fishing" and a shirt that says "if fishing is a sport you're looking at an athlete" while carrying a can of beer and a fishing rod, standing in front of a wet lowland.

insisting on calling every mass day of protest or one-day boycott a "general strike" is not the move. it's good to see people rallying around the cause, it matters, but if you want to be part of a large-scale labor action that shuts down the gears of capital, start by unionizing your workplace!!!

The image shows the cover of the Internet Archive's Vanishing Culture report. On the left, the words "Vanishing Culture" are prominently displayed in bold, dark font against a neutral background. To the right, a set of cultural artifacts including a VHS tape, an open book, a film reel, a vinyl record, and a web link icon appear to disintegrate into pixels, symbolizing the disappearance of analog and digital media. Below these icons is a pixelated computer hand cursor pointing to the word "SAVE," emphasizing the need for preservation. The Internet Archive's logo is placed in the bottom-right corner.

Robin fledgling on a fragrant sumac branch
fledgling robin outside our kitchen window!! it hung out while we cooked. we watched it's dad feed it a worm π Understory shrubs are important for these babies practicing flying, keeping them safe off the ground as they can't make it to the high canopy yet

My pet gar that I donated to Shedd Aquarium would recognize me and swim over to say hi when I visited her exhibit β€οΈπ
A rare hybrid gar, I raised her since she was 2 inches long, and had to re-home her when I moved to Chicago. I was happy I could visit her in her new home!

I try and get away with at little mowing as possible. maybe do it 3-4 times a year. I plan on converting the remaining bits of my lawn but for now its at least a decent mix of forbs and grass
