From a woman's perspective, the last time someone rapped loudly on my window they were clearly a predator looking for prey. Don't ask me to justify how I knew. I left & reported the incident to campus police. This is what women deal with. It has nothing to do with personal private property boxes.

I used to be a fast and voracious reader. Now I'm a slow down and absorb the prose reader.

The history behind the book is fantastic and yes, the book is the end all, be all for this story. Read it as an undergrad and again as a grad with each time coming away with a different take. There's a lot to be said for the Liberal Arts

The book is very different from all the movies I've seen.

Read the book #Frankenstein and join the #BannedBookSkyClub discussion. I'll start sharing talking points on Monday, March 16, 2026 (or the evening before depending). #BookSky

I hired a student worker who was from a small town. I told him I knew some people who were in a band there. I told him the name of the band, and he goes "that's my mom!" I was like, no it isn't, it can't be ...

Okay, I love that #BannedBookSkyClub got me to read Frankenstein for the first time. But also.... this is why you have to read the books, folks! I'm halfway through and this does not resemble all the movies so far. It's got much more drama and human relationships in it than I expected.

This is a shocking report from @txfreedomread.bsky.social.

This district is just letting AI make random guesses at what books to ban, and since AI can't actually read or interpret books, it's just flagging any book not specifically listed as a kids book, even if they used to be required reading.

It starts with "where did the wolf drive to?" I don't know the punchline.

I got behind a car today with the license plate "werwulf" and I thought of @masterofgum.bsky.social and his werewolf joke that makes me chuckle.

I've got Brussel sprouts started too, and they're leggy. I'm going to plant them outside in a week or so.

I don't like to name specific companies because inevitably someone will tell me to boycott them or that they're evil but you know when you stay in someone's home instead of a hotel, I get really good reviews and I just do what the directions say to do so I wonder if other people don't it's not hard.

Thank you for having us read this book. I never had and the distance between this story and the Hollywood version is immeasurable. This book was complex and sad. #frankenstein

While I haven't read a ton of books I've been into audiobooks the last couple years and really enjoyed Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton. Her other books are also excellent and quite entertaining.
