Give me recs: Protein bars and/or shakes that will just do the deed of feeding me when I’m in the depressive episode and can’t think to make myself something. Also that don’t taste like Splenda flavored chalk.
There’s an hour in the morning. Everyone is on their way to work or school and my work isn’t open yet and it’s too early so no one can really have any demands on me. No one will (for the most part) text/call me. And I think that’s the only time of the day/week/month/year/ever where I truly feel ok.
I buy a book the same way I buy a bottle of wine: do I like the little picture on the front, do I like the little blurb on the back, and does it look like it’ll &#% me up for $12
and the cotton falls apart a little bit so it's like...bonus scratch
RIGHT?!??! Is there any better feeling?!?!?!
Every day is a new chance to pep talk myself OUT of using q tips in my ears.
And every day is a new failure on one end but total and utter satisfaction on the other.
November has been, without a doubt, the worst month for my mental health. God I hope December is better...
Counterpoint: no, you do not have to stay on Twitter.
You’re not on Friendster anymore, right? Or MySpace? Google+?
Nothing lasts forever. Social media is ephemeral. Everything that has a beginning has an ending.
Note for the upcoming holiday season,,, some of us are on a sobriety journey and mocktails or non-alcoholic beer options make a big difference 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Been thinking a lot lately about that episode of Parks and Rec where Leslie and Tom have to rebrand fluoride in the water as TDazzle in order to get the public to support it.
I. Cannot. Stop. Laughing. At. This.
i hope chappell roan is even meaner in 2025 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Nine out of ten Amazon addictions can prob be traced back to the Scholastic Book Fair.

This is all what we need right now. Time to build and time to support and most of all, time to not give up.
I love seeing this mass exodus to Bluesky…and finding my Twitter tribe on here. Feels like going to a house party where you know literally everyone and the nachos and guac are endless.
Me: I'm home, I should do some work.
Brain: No work. Cheese.
Me: We just had some cheese.
Brain: I see no cheese.
Me: That's because we ate it.
Brain: (stares blankly)
Me: (sighs) Look, if I get you more cheese can we work?
Brain: Yes.
(gives brain cheese)
Me: Okay. Work.
Brain: No work. Cheese.
I’m a public librarian in a degenerating democracy, and I am pleading: Care about your library. Use it. See what programs and events it offers. And pay attention to its governing body. See who the trustees are. Consider running yourself. Libraries will need all the community support they can get. 📚
Why.
Can’t.
I.
Just.
Be.
Mad.
Why all of a sudden MY posts are personal, but him saying he thinks his disabled nephew should just be left to die, ISN’T or shouldn’t be personal to me and my special needs daughter?
Like the greatest poet ever, Taylor Swift: “you don’t get to tell me about sad.”
Why do I have to let go and let God, love my neighbor, there are good people on each side.
You know what gets me? Why am I not allowed to be mad. Why do I get to lash out and post memes about how I want to cut you off if you voted for him - and I get messages asking if i had a mental break, they’re worried about me, etc.
Would you ask that if a man posted those? DID you?
