💪💚 #gemeinsamfuerPankow

On the conference page there are several sessions with the title ‘Applications of a new paradigm’ from angles of tech, governance, etc. Was a new paradigm defined or outlined at any point?
And if it wasn’t, how did they manage to discuss its application?!
Thanks!

Great article @quinnslobodian.com - it also indirectly shows why the many callers for a new system or political order need to be more propositional.
Any consensus that ‘emerges’ and is featured at places like Harvard is likely to be rebranded, toothless centrism.

On days like today, when breaking through the noise feels impossible, you’re what I think of to keep going.

If you’ve ever called for a new political order, economy, or narrative, I have one question:
Where is that new system going to come from?
This week I was at 2 events where speakers again called for a long-term project. No one seemed to disagree.
But where is the plan to make it happen?

'We've gotten the Prompt Payments Act on the books so the small firms doing business with the Government are paid promptly.
We're increasing Federal procurement from minority enterprise. We've provided small business with more opportunity to participate in international trade through the Export Trading Company Act; signed into law the Small Business Innovation Development Act, assuring small high-tech firms a greater share of government research and development'
Which American president said this about how their government was helping small business?
a) Jimmy Carter
b) Ronald Reagan
c) Bill Clinton

Hi @carlomasala1.bsky.social what’s Putin trying to do with these actions? Is it about domestic politics, e.g. to provoke a reaction and then go ‘told you we were fighting NATO’ and save face from the embarrassment of not beating Ukraine?

Really tough issue. One thing is to tackle things that people (quite often wrongly) blame on migrants, eg lack of GP appointments or housing shortages. Fairness matters a lot - if people can see or can be persuaded that they & others are being treated equally, that should help.

What can policy realistically do to change the way voters ‘feel’ about an issue though? Specially about migration where media coverage is relentless and mostly one-sided. Insights from event or other sources welcome thx
