As chairman of ANC 1B, I brought in the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety to answer tough questions about MPD and ICE. Republicans in Congress will *never* do proper oversight, so it’s on us. The Council should pass these bills & as a CM I’ll work to ensure they’re implemented

Ward 1 knows what’s up. Make the residential composting pilot a permanent program. Increase the number of smart bins. Replace our open-air rat buffets, I mean litter bins. Install more litter and recycling bins. It’s not rocket science; it’s good municipal management.
Streets on U! This is good news: a locally-owned grocery business can serve as a strong anchor on the U St. corridor. We need more neighborhood staples like grocery stores, mid-range everyday restaurants, and local retail to diversify & keep vibrant our local economy.

Watching the DC Bike Walk and Bus PAC Ward 1 candidate forum and one thing is clear so far: candidate Terry Lynch (off camera) is wrong on every issue.
The ANC last night also passed my resolution advising @ddotdc.bsky.social that curbside space from which streateries are removed should not be assumed to automatically revert to parking. DDOT should consult with ANCs & other stakeholders to tailor plans to the needs of each neighborhood.

Last night at our ANC 1B meeting, Councilmember @brianneknadeau.bsky.social announced an "eleventh-hour" agreement with @ddotdc.bsky.social to protect the curbside space on 18th Street, where streateries are currently being removed!
As the former lead organizer for the I-83 campaign, which brought ranked choice voting to DC, I believe the recent effort by some members of the DC Council to delay RCV is wrong and unnecessary.
