From personal experience SE London/NW Kent via Hull confuses people.

From personal experience SE London/NW Kent via Hull confuses people.

A bad photo of a Little Egret taken with a potato phone...
Hospital appointment followed by a walk around the local park.
Nothing like seeing the red kites put on an aerial display, and finally being able to spot a Little Egret I thought I'd seen lurking a while ago...
Sadly, this feels like it's going to be more and more useful...
www.404media.co/ai-psychosis...
Happy birthday, and hope you continue to have a good year...
Penta winning a title, and Danhausen returning to TV are a couple more nice highlights already... π
Note to self - build an AI proposal/hours/fees checker if 500 haven't already been vibe-coded...
It just struck a chord based on my own experience, and working with lots of other self-employed people...
It's rare to find clients or freelancers who are able to combine accurate briefs, proposals, fees and not end up with scope creep (he says, cramming in extra client hours...) π€¦ββοΈ
Surely that's just the assumed response to any client brief, and any freelancer proposal?
And before social media, it was search, automated phone calls, fraudulent mail, etc, etc.
It's why I laughed when people suggested that it'll be fine as long as people use AI ethically, or that we don't need any form of regulation.
Tech changes fast, human nature doesn't
I'm generally the solution to any problem of excess food, as I'll hoover up whatever is offered, whatever is available, and anything else I can find when foraging...
It's not going to help outdated out of date dates, but @lizrandell.bsky.social has made them with peanut butter and chocolate regularly, and they essentially taste just like a Snickers...
Can recommend.
That's a shame - it would be nice to have a good Forza Horizon competitor/alternative , especially with Nacon going through financial issues and underperforming with TDU: Solar Crown...
Fingers crossed they get the help they need. There's been a bit of a publisher push in racing/sim racing...
Saved as a really useful reference anytime I'm going through my own contact pages, as well as for clients...
I've reached the "I really need a fourth monitor" level of spreadsheet analysis...
On the plus side - more monitors is also good for sim racing.
It appears Reddit is having a bit of an outage...
In the past, I'd jump onto Twitter to see if a site or service went down. Now I default to checking Bluesky instead...
I tend to always have a notepad (physical or digital) open whenever I'm doing data analysis just to capture the random related things that pop up, so I can go back and work through them later...
It's a popular opinion with me - you can speed up elements of it at times, but you need to know the foundations and have the opportunity to dive into things whenever possible...
I'd old. I'm going with Kids in the Hall, to revisit memories of my friends and I recording it from late night TV as one of those shows only we ever seemed to watch...
There are loads of valid problems with the NHS and the medical profession, but measles/MMR etc are proven, well-documented, and advised by everyone except niche woo-woo Facebook groups and the American administration.
Neither of those groups are who I'd take medical advice from...
I vote for more swearing.
I'm going to start sending angry emails whenever I encounter a CMS that constantly wants me to use AI to generate text, but has a buggy UI that's painful to use...
If your basic functionality stops me from doing simple tasks, you don't need AI enhancements. You need to sort it out.
Always good to see games being revived...
Don't post things like this where I can see them!
Along with the racing games, I have hugely found memories of the Oddworld games.
Deleted a load of obvious spam emails about TV licenses etc.
Then almost fell for one which was more polished...
Another reminder that scams mainly work when you're rushing through things and not able to give them enough attention to spot small flaws.
Putting aside national politics, there's the loss of the hydrotherapy pool, the loss of the Showground, the sale of a Hindu temple site, a council tax rise for next year, the Hilton Hotel debacle, recent arrests of councillors, etc, etc.
And the general perception of decline in the city centre.
Reading a bit of the responses to Reform narrowly winning the local Peterborough by election yesterday, by 36 votes...
It's 1 out of 59 councillors, which currently has 11 independents and 10 for Peterborough First.
And there are lots of local issues impacting voting...
I did - mainly because it was blocking me from reading direct messages etc...
Same here, although I tend to walk rather than run.
But it's more noticeable in general work and life if I've gone a while without a good night or two of rest as I've got older.
As tested this week when the kitchen blind made a bid for freedom in the middle of the night...
Same for me...
When it comes to music, I still listen to vinyl and CDs.
I seem to spend half my time reading articles about how AI is going to wipe out even more jobs in the future.
And the other half reading emails telling me I need to pay companies more, so they can add the AI that's going to wipe out even more jobs in the future.
