We were joined by the inimitable Nuala O’Toole local story teller to tell the stories of Farmers who have engaged with the #JUSTLANZ research on food and farming systems.

I found a seemingly impossible object in the vast expanse of sedge and sphagnum- a car bumper but no sign of a car!

Happened upon the Féile Róise Rua - an incredible ceilidh of people from all places interested in Seann Nos singing.

Three pet lambs two cheviots and one Suffolk

Started lambing on 27th March and the shed now has thinned down to a few stragglers and pet lambs. The Herdwick had gone down with toxaemia at the start of lambing but after calcium dose she has come good and finally had her lamb tonight. That’s the last of my daughters Herdwicks- good mothers.

This weekend I’ve been big walking in bogland and pondering some questions raised in a project I’m part of.

#JUSTLANZ is a multidisciplinary project exploring transition pathways to net zero in food/farming systems.

The release of the music for When Fish Begin To Crawl performed by The Royal Scottish National Orchestra, coincides with our events next week, the first drop on the 28th will be the single Memory Pool with a gorgeous cello solo from Betsy Taylor.

A new day so a new painting for you. Well an old painting but you know what I mean. "Mayo Trees" was painted following a cycle in County Mayo. I'd stopped for a pint in Mulranny (It was raining, like really heavy), then headed north and stopped again - for these trees. #SpeirGorm #ArtAdventCalendar
