Gonna have to get some rain first. Planted that one in 1999. It was supposed to outlive me.
Will have to find other species that can withstand being cooked by the western sun in summer months (May-November).
So, last week I had a beloved oak tree cut down. It had died from an opportunistic fungus.
Today, I had my solar guy at my house; he’s gonna help me get some more panels on the back side of my roof (previously shaded by the tree) so that I can zero out!

I once drove from Lansing to Flint in a horrendous thunderstorm. Had to pull off the road because it rained so hard. Got within a mile of destination and the tornado sirens were wailing; one touched down 1/2 mile from house.
