I was an Arc browser convert, but gave up on it and The Browser Company when they abandoned it to build Dia. Every couple months I check Dia out and…at what point have they just rebuilt Arc with ChatGPT pinned in the sidebar? 😅

It rewards being precious about gear instead of using it, which feels in conflict of the other design decisions of the game. Like, instead of some gear value, why not require a queen reactor to incentivize participation in some of the best end game content? Or integrate the Trials content somehow.
#ArcRaiders: i'd be interested to know what made Embark choose 1 million coins a skill point—they've got to have some data on this right? It just feels unreachable without playing hundreds of hours, which surely is a tiny percentage of all players.

I get why so many extensions chuck stuff in content scripts—working with multiple popups and background scripts is a nightmare. Want to display some UI in a popup to give the user feedback? Nah, Safari says a popup is already open (it's not), and even if it were, it provides no function to close it.
I'm writing a Safari web extension to replace some Arc functionality I came to rely on (Arc is going away because The Browser Company is looking for growth at all costs instead of trying to make a sustainable business out of the users they already have).
Anyway, this is a real hostile environment.

The most surprising #NintendoSwitch2 launch finding: I think I prefer the Switch 2 'Pro' controller over the other consoles' controllers that are twice the price. It's not better in every way, but the soft plastic body and thumbsticks feel just about perfect.
The task of finding a 512GB+ microSD express card for the #NintendoSwitch2 is proving to be more challenging than getting the Switch 2 itself.

I don't know which I dislike more—the old chatbots that would link you to an irrelevant page or the new AI chatbots that gaslight you out of a bag of coffee.

Remove the slop in the Joy-Cons when connected to the console! Whenever I play this thing in handheld mode, half of my attention is on the unpleasant creaky plastic sound each button press makes.
In a hysterical change of events, Comcast is threatening to take me to collections over $11 that they owe me.
There are plenty of worse ways to spend the next 48 hours. Silo, Severance, and Shrinking are also great.
Slack message field where half of the text I typed has been covered up by a tooltip. The tooltip suggests holding the send button to schedule the post in the future. No clear way to dismiss the tooltip.
Slack! Make this useful feature more discoverable so you don't have to cover half my input to let me know it exists! Or, at the very least, give me a big ol' dismiss button somewhere so I can get on with it!

AT&T apparently contracts out the burying of the tiny, glass, fiber optic cable to a company that shows up unannounced, disconnects the cable to bury, breaks it upon reconnecting, and leaves without saying a word. In my case, it was in the middle of an interview. 😅

Glad to hear it! Seems to be good so far—no data caps and symmetrical upload/download is going to be nice. Comcast topped out at something like 20mbps upload even with a gigabit plan.
I'm getting AT&T fiber installed today purely out of spite for Comcast. Well, that, and to eliminate the sadness I feel when Call of Duty updates single-handedly blow my data cap every month.
