I was under the impression the xlr was better.... honestly my ear is not good enough to discern between the two. In all honesty, they've both been subpar in practice. Did I just get a shitty mic?

I have an MV7. I've been recording analog with an audio interface, Scarlet 2i2 and using that to deliver gain.

I'm starting to get at my wits end. I have $400+ of recording equipment and yet I have very tin-ney sounding recordings and I'm trying to find any way I can balance things so they can sound at least comparable to the quality of my other VA's recordings.

I need some FVN related help.

Is there anyone who:

A. Knows proper ways to edit voice recordings, specifically for voice acting. Not vocals for music.

B. Would be willing to volunteer an hour or two of their time to sit with me and figure out how to salvage some of my shoddy recordings.
