I don't think @toni.bsky.team will be bad for bluesky, but if you don't want to use a platform run by a VC funded by VC's you can continue to talk to everybody here by switching over to @blackskyweb.xyz's servers. Compatible and entirely seperate from bluesky infrastructure.

How Standards Are Made Recently I received a large grant from Bluesky Social PBC to fund my work on FedCM for decentralized web. So whilst the response has been overwhelmingly positive, there's currently a tiny tiny percent...

I wrote up a piece on how standards are made, because of some folks being very negative about the grant on other social networks: writings.thisismissem.social/how-standard...

Yeah, it might be caused by caching and content negotiation. Seems to be okay now, but definitely annoying.

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

Tumblr is great, for the most part! However, the initial announcement of open sourcing Tumblr and moving it to the Fediverse appears to be significantly delayed. Wafrn is an attempt to build something similar from first principles.

Wafrn is for People Who Miss Tumblr’s Chaotic Energy What started as a Tumblr-inspired publishing platform has taken on a life of its own within the Fediverse, evolving into something far more wild.

For those seeking out a federated and open alternative to Tumblr, Wafrn is looking extremely promising.
