The regent is the funniest fucking character they've ever made I love him

Like obviously if their dreams were realistically attainable, they wouldn't have felt the need to wish for them

But then when they "get their wish back" so they can remember what they are and pursue it themselves, it turns out their wishes were all just within reach all along and just skill issue

message of the movie was that people should pursue their dreams themselves instead of asking for a higher power to grant it to them

Which is a fine message on the surface, but it implies all wishes are personally attainable actually if one just works hard enough

Finally watched Disney's Wish

They really made "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" the movie

40k and fromsoft games come to mind
