It was a privilege and a pleasure to join in with Country Joe doing the Fish Cheer, Fixing To Die Rag, at the Bath Festival of Blues (Shepton Mallet) in 1970. Good times.
But he's gone now. Holy crap.

Good people have been saying the same since 2004 (at least) but what will it take to get rid of bad policy?

BBC apologises for using wrong Remembrance Sunday clip BBC says a production mistake led to BBC Breakfast showing footage of Boris Johnson laying a wreath in 2016.

4 months old? They should have gone with 3 years out-of-date, and then *nobody* would have noticed.
Though it didn't take long.

That, and the artists, poets, and singers who breathe life into language.

Paper junk mail 'To The Occupier'

"Have you included cremation as an option? It's so cheap nowadays."

This is why my recycling bin fills so quickly.

Old adage: looks great but smells bad, bin it;
looks terrible but smells good, buon appetito.

There are exceptions to the above. 😆

Sniff it for any sign of mould. It can happen if it's wholegrain, but it's nasty enough to spot immediately.
Otherwise just a good wash.

The expression 'sausage roll' has only one association for me - British Rail catering in the 1960s. And they were really good.

Relief sculpture with a text in Arabic.

Relief sculpture with a text in Arabic.

#Arabic readers. Can anyone read and translate this plaque? It's of a piece of sculpture copied from a design in a magazine.

Is it #Kufic script? It may refer to a lunar calendar month. I no longer have the original from 30 yrs ago, hence my question.

I've seen this described as a leaf crown on the Aylesford bucket, but identifying the leaves as mistletoe is interesting. I wouldn't have guessed.

I hunted them off the west coast of Ireland many years ago, but the local cockles and oysters were far better.

I recall @sturdyalex.bsky.social writing in favour of the limpets in Greece.

I don't know the cost differences, but if you're going to Japan you might as well buy there. And then maybe take home with you to develop.

I've carried film across continents and back in the past with no ill effects, and airport scanners were likely much cruder then.
