I had a very pleasant time yesterday at a talk by John Garth on Tolkien and the creation of the mythology of Arda. I really appreciated the research he did to identify some of the ways Ireland impacted Tolkien and his works. Go see him if you ever get the chance!

I just finished watching Nosferatu. It’s a wonderful piece of cinematography but the plot is a blatant rip-off of Leslie Nelson’s great work, Dracula: Dead and Loving It.
