The impact of these inequities is deeply concerning. Babies from Black & Black British communities continue to have the highest rate of infant mortality. GRT communities experience higher rates of mental health conditions. The risk of developing diabetes is up x6 higher in South Asian communities.

Est. orgs have consistently shown how health inequities reflect & perpetuate structural racism. These inequities are embedded across systems. They're not b/c of isolated actions by individual orgs - they stem from longstanding structural dynamics, as recognised by health statutory bodies.

We’ve heard loud, clear, and real concerns about heath and health inequities – especially those affecting Black, Middle Eastern, South and East Asian, Gypsy/Roma/Traveller (GRT), and Jewish communities.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve awarded £724 million to 13,000 projects — that’s eight grants every hour. 95% of these focused on our four community missions: strengthening social connections, advancing environmental sustainability, helping young people thrive, and enabling healthier lives.
