High Court quashes unlawful no-release decision by the Parole Board - One Pump Court

Mirren knocked it out of the park for my client on this case. We believe it is the first judgment to consider the Parole Board's use (and in this case misuse!) of the slip rule.

And SJ successfully represented a hunt monitor charged with aggravated trespass after he contended he was disrupting an illegal fox hunt. The defendant was convicted in the magistrates court. After submissions were made, the prosecution conceded the appeal in the Crown Court.

Sarah-Jane Ewart successfully represented a protestor in an appeal against a conviction for wilfully obstructing a highway, arising out of a slow march protest for Just Stop Oil. SJ made proportionality arguments & submissions on the public interest. In the end the prosecution conceded the appeal.
