It’s people like you and me that suffer the most in war.

Every time.

The only ones who benefit are billionaires, the oil industry and the warmongers.

Government closely monitoring reports South Korea could cut off half our fuel New fuel security group to meet for first time tonight amidst reports the source of 47% of our fuel could stop sending it.

BREAKING

South Korea could halve NZ fuel supply as the US/Israel war on Iran restricts oil supply.

NZ is not a priority for the oil exporters.

Sunlight is still making it through though.οΏΌ

So it seems like NZ decoupled the motions on renewal of catching orange roughy (bottom trawling?) from the motion on limiting 'bycatch' damage to corals and sponges. So one was passed and one wasn't.

So more damage to sea mounts, seabeds?

Interesting to think that Donald Trump may have, completely inadvertently and at a horrific cost, finally woken up the world to how urgent it is we get off our dangerous addiction to fossil fuels.

Cartoon depicts National Party Prime Minister of New Zealand's 3 party coalition dressed as a clown wearing long shoes as he is tripping over the skull of smokers ( refers to plans to cancel the smokefree target and repeal legislation). Luxon's head has struck a bee's nest labelled 'Tiriti O Waitangi' from which angry bees fly to sting him on the ass. His top hat falls off labelled '7 Houses'. He is about to fall face first into budget custard while crying profuse clown tears "Why can't I get a break?" he whimpers plaintively.

The best way to stop wars, achieve World Peace and avert the climate crisis is to END the oil industry.

Bicycles require no fuel. They are the most efficient form of transport ever invented.

Bicycles can save the world.

The way to achieve world peace is to end our dependence on oil.

With the added benefit that if we do it quickly enough, we might be able to avert the climate crisis in time to enjoy the peace.

It's mindblowing to me that we have a Prime Minister whose excuse for his own incompetence is that he's "not a career politician".

He's basically saying that he's not good at his job – AS PRIME MINISTER – because he lacks experience.
