We have a saying when teaching teachers about this: "Kids don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." Sometimes it means strength, sometimes it means bringing the light. Either way, they need to know you are their champion.
A good read, and connects well with the text The Anxious Generation. I know an early care facility who's been working hard to create a nature playground for this very reason.
