#fabtcg meta has me reinvigorated. I went from only wanting to play (C tier?) Slippy, to suddenly wanting to play all the heroes!

There is a Monarch 3 that is expected as well. I'm not sure how they'd fit Viserai into that set balanced for limited or lore-wise, but here's hoping

Yeah, in a nutshell. Lists are more aggressive with disruption. A lot of MUs can go faster or play around the disruption however. Tome has been good into other aggro decks

I say bring both. Decks are cheap enough and games are shorter so you can jam the fun hero, then play the meta hero to get practice for anything higher than an armory

I'm going to jam it in my sage florian deck right away

That is tricky because for a lot of matchups, you are giving them a complex puzzle to solve how to get max value and win before fatigue. Especially when someone may not have a lot of experience with the MU. All you can do is provide kind reminders of the time. A draw doesn't benefit either person

Had a new player to our draft armory today. They ended up with a playmat and needed a bcw box for their new collection.

Those are the two heroes right now who's main gameplan is to win through fatigue. It's not just you..

I've got 13. The Arakni Black Widow in the window is pretty tricky

I don't mind, and personally prefer, blurring of class identity if it help to distinguish heroes within a class. In your example, i like that mario's dagger attacks/pumps make them unique from other assassins, while also having disruption which currently feels somewhat unique to the class.

My #fabtcg goals for 2026:
- Travel for 3 or more Calling or WP events.
- Day 2 a Calling
- Qualify for US Nats
- Encourage more new players to the game
- Have fun playing off-meta heroes
- Meet more of this awesome community!
