pirate hoseok is used to navigating through uncharted waters. so much so that, when he first hears about a secret lagoon said to realize all his wishes, his mind is instantly set in finding it, and he convinces his crew with few words needed. the lagoon is hard to find, and a lot of hurdles and challenges are put in his way, but he manages to win all of them. there's only one big last challenge he needs to face, and it is the guardian of the lagoon itself. the most beautiful siren hoseok has ever encountered, and the only one capable of making him lose everything: park jimin. DW: enemies to lovers, bantering, (mutual) pining. hoseok torn between givin in to jimin or winning the challenge, jimin torn into abandoning his post or completing his task. maybe jimin can also be facing a challenge to be "freed" of something, and losing to hoseok will cost him said freedom? idk, up to author. optional: star crossed lovers, smut, dead dove, happy/ambiguous/sad ending DNW: bp, gender swap, 1st person.

And you know how I get in parties—” “Very drunk and talkative?” She asks in a mocking tone. “Shut up.” Hoseok rolls his eyes. “I didn’t get drunk, but we talked a lot and danced together, and… He offered to bring me home, and I said it would be okay.” Hoseok takes a sip of his coffee to hide the shyness from his sister. “Oh, my little bro is dirty!” Jiwoo teases, leaning forward to poke shove Hoseok on the arm and almost making him spill his coffee—the one in his mouth, not in his hands. “Stop it.” He rolls his eyes again. Then, he continues. “We talked a lot during the night, see, and I didn’t feel like letting the night end yet, so I invited him for a cup of hot chocolate even though I shouldn’t invite strangers in—but I’m thirty-one and I think I’m allowed to do whatever I want to,” he adds quickly, before any judgement can be made. “I agree, you can do whatever—and whomever—you want,” she teases again, this time wiggling her brows. “Damn. Being treated like a pet in a zoo with people staring and pointing in the day and it's a different kind of torture at night. Iron burns them so iron cages keep them contained and Hobi has lost hope in escaping alive. Until, a group of vigilantes breaks in, sets them all free and carts them off to treatment and recovery. And that's how he meets Jimin.
