Security plugins in WordPress wonβt save a poorly maintained site. Weak passwords, outdated core/themes/plugins, and bad hosting are bigger risks than missing a firewall. Security starts with smart decisions, not just another plugin.

Slow queries can kill performance in WordPress. Optimize them with these steps: πΉ Use WP_Query efficiently -no query_posts. πΉ Add indexes to large db tables. πΉ Use transients for caching freq queries. πΉ Limit post revisions to reduce database bloat
Whatβs your approach to optimizing queries?
I need to load a WordPress page of a full website on a subdomain. Iβll try this method to load the specific WordPress page without redirection.
Anyone tried this before? Thoughts?
Single Monitor Status Page for Uptime Monitor Pro is almost ready. Can't wait to release this.
Working on some final details for status pages in Uptime Monitor Pro. It's looking good. Don't you think so?
Got it. Thanks!
Really learning more about Reddit. I've never used it much and yes I have posted but I don't go any further. Any golden tips I can use?
Working on the status pages for Uptime Monitor Pro. Very soon, our customers' clients will also be able to track the status of their pages. How does it look like so far?
I did a Youtube video with internal mic on the MacBook, and no thumbnail. It's not even my native language so I just did it, without thinking. I got 2 subscribers π±. Perhaps, there is a lesson here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq5i...
Developing WordPress plugins isnβt for the faint of heartβespecially when migrating or transforming data in the DB. Once you ship, itβs out of your hands, and thatβs the nerve-wracking part. You canβt predict every install, and if something breaks, fixing it isnβt always simple.
Wow, Iβm glad this help you Richard. π
I made a quick video showing how my process to update to new Laravel installer was. Also installed Laravel 12 with Starter Kit (React). Nothing too fancy but would be great to get some feedback. Beside the constants "ehhh..." I think the result is acceptable. youtu.be/vq5iq-lBCw8
I'm reading about Cold Emails. As an introvert person, it's not easy to me to do things like that but life is about pushing boundaries and growing in the process. What do you think about Cold Emails?

I spent big part of the day working on new features for Uptime Monitor Pro. So many things I want to add but I'm sticking to the roadmap. It's hard to not ged overwhelmed by the sense of urgency my brain try to add to all features. The productivity hack is to stick to the list, respect the order.
Thinking about how I can add more value to websites made with WordPress in Uptime Monitor Pro. Yes, I love WordPress (in case you did not noticed before π) as many of you do and would like to see that reflected in UMP. Open to ideas. π‘π€
Hey Thomas. Congrats! I have a question. Hoping you can answer it. How do you attract traffic to a service like this one when it's new? I'm so curious about it. Thanks π
Second issue: Some website were not working with Keyword Detection in the content because the Uptime Monitor were not detected as a Supported Browser. I had to improve the web scrapping procedure. It's working like a charm now.
If you want to see the results, take a look at uptimemonitorpro.com
First issue: CloudFlare blocked requests from the Uptime Monitor. I had to put a Datacenter Proxy in the middle. I was ready to do it anyway because I needed to setup the foundation to have checks from multiple regions. I fixed the issue an now I'm ready for multiple regions.
Today I had the worst challenge since I started working on Uptime Monitor Pro. Cloudflare is blocking the monitor in some cases, for some websites. I already have a solution and I'm testing it thoroughly. I will give more info as soon as I finish the test. It's looking good. uptimemonitorpro.com
At least the last three blocks I created for WordPress are dynamic blocks using a shortcode to generate the output. That makes it compatible with all page builders automatically. Builder can use the shortcode or I can create a custom component for it. Is there a better approach?
The forgot password page now looks like login or register form. Thanks for the feedback. β
Ups. I'll get that fixed. Thanks!
Once you get used to long posts it gets really hard to post here sometimes. I usually have to write the long and the short version of the same post and not always succeed on that.
Itβs hard but itβs necessary. Itβs one way to improve what we are building and to improve ourselves too. Itβs a constant learning process. In the end we want to succeed and we need them for that.
Thanks Justin. Thereβs a lot in the roadmap but Iβm giving priority to first clients requests. More to come.
New feature rolled out for Uptime Monitor Pro. Now you can reset your uptime data, including incidents as well as certificates and domain validations.
PHP is so versatile β€οΈ
I like your approach, without removing this one. You can have a global setting with forbidden words and then you can enable that check on the monitors you want. It's like an anti-hacking service. Something like that.
Yes, that's a great suggestion. I'll add it to the roadmap with high priority. I like it, a lot.
Yes, as soon as the work appears, you will get a ping. Or the opposite, depending of what you choose.
