I certainly hope and expect that this meeting doesn't change Mika and Joe's approach to covering Trump... attempting to establish a line of communication with the incoming administration is just part of the process.
We don't know what specifically was said at this meeting, but this is how journalism works.
It's not acquiescence/capitulation. Mika & Joe are not responsible for "normalizing" Trump, Americans chose him despite the show's (appropriately) critical coverage of him for 7 years.
